King Jimmy

King Jimmy is the name Sierra Leoneans commonly give to their slums and ghetto’s. Most ex-combatants are somewhat integrated into Sierra Leone society, yet a number of them ended up in these ghetto’s. Many of them were already living on the street when they got involved in the war. This group causes a lot of problems in modern society, and is possibly the hardest one to help. Mind to Change is currently looking into this problem, and is in the process of developing projects together with these people. We expect to have our first project running in 2010.
