Reconciliation
One Love
One Love was a phrase and a sign (thumbs up) that Sierra Leoneans used during and after the war, as a token of reconciliation and brotherhood.
Actual reconciliation has unfortunately never been realised, and many childsoldiers still suffer from this. Mind to Change runs small projects to stimulate the people to reconcile their differences and troubled past.
At this very moment Mind to Change works with both ex-combatants and victims in projects aimed to renew their bonds. The official ‘One Love’ projects are set to start at the end of 2009. Included are public debates, buddysystems, radioprojects as well as workshops and creative projects, all aimed at reconciling the past in a positive way.
